The ISU Bengals may have gone 0-2 this week, but Callie Bourne was a winner. Leading her team in points (14) and the game in rebounds (11), the sophomore Bengal registered a career-first double-double in their 52-70 loss to Oklahoma State.

Four games into the season, Callie is already averaging 10.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. A starter since her debut, she is a significant contributor and will be establishing herself as a leader in this team that contains six freshmen.

Standouts of the Week

Stuart Phair chalked up his second double-double in as many weeks with game high 21 points and 11 rebounds during the Sage Gators’ 74-77 loss to State University of New York. As a starter since the beginning of the season, Stuart has quickly established himself as one of the most dominant players on the team, averaging 14.5 points and 8 rebounds per game.

Rob Colton led in rebounds during both his team’s wins this week, and brother Maris managed a game high 4 steals in his one outing.  Issie Bourne stole her way to the top of the box score with her game-topping 2 steals in the second of the Huskers’ two wins.
