2016-17: UC DAVIS’ MALE NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR… NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BASKETBALL COACHES ALL-DISTRICT AWARD… RILEY WALLACE AWARD WINNER (nation’s top Division I transfer)… BIG WEST NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR… ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM… BIG WEST CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT MOST VALUABLE PLAYER… BIG WEST CONFERENCE ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM… BIG WEST CONFERENCE REBOUND CHAMPION… BIG WEST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK (1/9)… Overall rebound average (9.5 /gm.) was one of nine league-high figures posted in his first season of action at UC Davis; also finished No. 1 in field goals made (192), defensive rebounds (249), defensive rebounds per game (6.9), total rebounds (341), blocks (51) and blocks per game (1.4)… Nobody in the BWC even came close to matching Moneke’s 14 double-doubles, another No. 1 total that nearly matches the combined efforts of the second- and third-ranked players, who ended the year with nine and six respectively… Posted two of the top three single-game rebound totals among all Big West players; including his 18 boards collected vs. Cal Poly, and 17 against Long Beach State, nobody in the league posted more double-figure rebound games (17) than Moneke… Set nine new single-season Division I era program records in his first season at UC Davis: double-doubles, field goals made, total rebounds, offensive rebounds (92), defensive rebounds, rebounds per game, offensive rebounds per game (2.6), defensive rebounds per game (6.9) and blocked shots (51)… Set new all-time single-season records in blocks (51) and free throw attempts (220)… Posted team-high figures in field goal percentage (.527), field goals made (5.3), rebounds, rebound average, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds and blocked shots… Led all Aggies on 8 of 13 shooting, collected nine rebounds and blocked one shot in the NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional First Round game vs. Kansas (3/17).

2015-16: Named the Big West Conference’s representative at the 2016 NCAA Leadership Forum, a prestigious invitation-only event; he is the first UC Davis men’s basketball player selected in school history… Redshirted his first year at UC Davis.

NORTHEAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE (2013-15): Posted averages of 17 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.3 steals per game as a sophomore… Also shot 57 pct. from the floor that year… As a freshman, Moneke averaged 10.7 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.1 bpg and 1.2 spg… Earned first team all-region honors both seasons.

LAKE GINNINDERRA COLLEGE ’13: Competed on a team that finished his senior season as Australian National School Championship runners-up… Averaged 16 points and 18 rebounds per game in his final year at Lake Ginninderra College… Averaged 18.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game as a junior… Named MVP Team Player at the Australian Schoolboys Championships… In his two seasons competing for LGC, his basketball teams won a collective 35 of 44 games.

PERSONAL: One of Eucharia and Sydney’s five children… His brother, Obieze, played basketball at Wingate University… Not many people know that he has lived on five continents… Receiving a scholarship to play basketball at UC Davis is his proudest personal accomplishment… Dante Exum and Ben Simmons are the best athletes that he has competed against… Finishing No. 4 in the nation in rebounding and playing Division I basketball are his career sports highlights… LeBron James, Usain Bolt, Cristiano Ronaldo and Cam Newton are his sports heroes… Non-sports heroes are his parents.
